Um etwa 4:30 Uhr kommen wir am Hbf von Amsterdam an. Die Schließfächer können erst ab 7:00 Uhr benutzt werden. D.h. wir sind mit unserem Gepäck unterwegs in Amsterdam.
Round about 4:30 am we arrived at Amsterdam central station. The lockers are free to be used from 7:00 am. That means we are walking around Amsterdam heavily loaded.

Das Dach des Busbahnhofs bietet nur wenig Schutz. Ich bin natürlich mit meiner Kamera auch da, wo weh tut (hier eher wo es nass ist). 😉
The bus stations roof gives little shelter. Of course me and my camera are, where the pain is (rather: where it is soaking wet). 😉

Beim Zwischenstopp in Hannover herrscht ein unglaubliches Unwetter. Nahe des Busbahnhofs ist die Feuerwehr im Einsatz.
An incredible thunderstorm raged at Hannover. Close to the bus station the fire brigades are at work.

Annette wartet auf den Bus über Hannover nach Amsterdam. Die Busfahrt selbst war nicht unbedingt eine unserer besten Ideen. Aber es war die preiswerteste Verbindung nach Amsterdam, die wir so kurz noch bekommen konnten. Wir brachen etwas überstürzt auf, weil unsere Urlaube sich nicht mehr anders koordinieren ließen.
Annette waits for the bus via Hannover to Amsterdam. Travelling by bus wasn’t one of our best ideas. Going to Amsterdam on short notice, it was the only reasonably priced way of getting there. Because we couldn’t coordinate our holidays better, we left in a rush.

Glasbierhaus in romantischer Abendstimmung /romantic sunset at Glasbierhaus, Amsterdam, Juni 2006
Der Klaus erzählt ja immer, dass es das sei, was ihm in Berlin fehlt. Diese Cafes, wo man draussen sitzen kann und ein Bierchen trinken kann und so. Die gibts natürlich auch in Berlin. Wer es nicht glaubt, kann sich Beweisfotos aus Prenzlberg von mir ansehen. Natürlich ist das, wie übrigens auch in Amsterdam sehr vom Stadtteil abhängig. Allerdings ist die Stimmung in Berlin und Amsterdam in keiner Weise zu vergleichen!
Klaus always says, that’s what he misses, these cafes, where you can sit outside to enjoy a beer or something else. Of course there are those cafes in Berlin, too. Disbelievers check for photos to prove this at Prenzlberg taken by me. Naturally, in Berlin as in Amsterdam, this depends very much on the part of the city you are in. But the flair of Berlin or Amsterdam are not to be compared in any way!

Mit diesem Bild möchte ich nun die Photoserie von unserer Amsterdamreise beginnen. Wir starten hier nicht chronologisch, sondern mit ein paar stimmungsvollen Nachtbildern. Etwas mehr zur Reise gibt es dann immer mal unter dem einen oder anderem Photo. Sowohl zu Amsterdam, als auch zu den Photos freue ich mich über jeden Kommentar.
With this picture I’d like to start the photo session of our trip to Amsterdam. We’ll not start in chronological order, but rather with some impressive pictures of the night. More details concerning the travelling are given with one or the other photo. I appreciate every comment about Amsterdam as well as about the photos.

Frachter auf der Elbe / container ship on the river Elbe, Hamburg, Juni 2006
Leider habe ich die Emulsionsschicht dieses Negativs beim Trocknen beschädigt. Ich fand es aber so stimmungsvoll, dass ich es trotzdem hier hinstellen wollte.
Unfortunately I damaged the emulsion of this negative whilst drying it. I think, it’s still that impressive, that I want to place it here.
